So this is slightly straying from what we normally post here @no_requests but it is pretty undeniable that The XX are fuckin talented.  If I was an A&R or an agent, I would be kicking myself for not signing them.  This group of four from  south west London are in the middle of a grueling tour that pretty much has them stopping everywhere – so if you’re a fan then you will most likely be able to check them out.  This is by no means a new track but fuck it I like the video….how’s that for easy listening??? hmmm tonewise?

If you have been to any event that tonewise or myself has been involved with then chances are that you have heard the punishing sound of SUPRA1 – the badman duo from Krakow, Poland.  These two are newer members of the unstoppable Brooklyn based TROUBLE & BASS label and they seem to be poised for a little world bass domination of their own – EXPECT A BIG EP RELEASE ON TROUBLE & BASS LATER THIS YEAR.

They are about to start a mini North American tour later this week with their first stop at the T&B CMJ Showcase in New York on October 23rd.  There second stop has them in Toronto on October 24th with a show at The Social.  They will also be at The Faktory Loft afterparty later that night with Egyptrixx & Violca (Mansion).  If you are in either city – don’t miss this rare chance to see SUPRA1 rinse it out!!!

As a bonus I have to post this B.RICH track I recently came across…laced with a dark enchanting vibe that makes you move.  B.RICH is getting better and better with every track and his dupstep production is really on point these days.  B.RICH is also REALLY GOOD!

its been a little while since I’ve heard a new joker tune but this one was well worth the wait.  in his latest track the bristol badman has remixed  simian mobile disco’s cruel intentions.  I have had this song on blast for a few weeks now and it only gets better and better.  It took me totally off guard when I was at the Annie Mac show last week and she dropped this towards the end of her set – people were moving!! (and not the crowd that usually vibes to that sort of thing) – over and over joker brings that g-funk bounce  and blends it with gutter riddims…expect this man to keep infiltrating your dance floor.

I have have been hunting for a 320 of Emalkay’s “When I look At You” all summer and still after all this time I haven’t found anything even close.  It was supposed to be released in August but there were some label issues and it got pushed back to October 5th (the b-side “angie got stoned” is not to be slept on either).  I still haven’t found the track but came across this remix by Sduk.  This man is nice and I would def get on his myspace but I still prefer the original – it just DROPS that much more…

Florence & The Machine is singer Florence Welch and a collaboration of artists that  back her up musically.  her track the drummer seems to be getting the la roux treatment having being remixed by both Boy 8-Bit & Jack Beats.  Both songs take a different approach and I think I’m going with @therealroyapron on this one.  Regardless of that it would seem that Florence can sing…so she’s got that going for her…  you will be able to catch her in Toronto @ The Mod Club on Nov 2 if you can’t get enough (she destroys la roux in the live performance category).
